APCOA Parking that manages an astonishing 1.3 million parking spaces across Europe, is now using Text Marketer’s text for business system to communicate with its customers.
In an industry first, the company is using SMS to inform customers of the latest news that might affect customers of its car parks.
They recently needed to let Bristol customers know that they would experience some disruption while they did some development work. Using the text for business platform Message Box, they could easily upload their databases and dispatch their text campaign.
Work to add 700 more spaces to Bristol Parkway station starts on 13th July. The main car park will close during the work. See station leaflets for more info.
I’m glad I’m not trying to park my car at the station this week but forewarned is forearmed and at least customers know that they’ll need to find somewhere else to park or arrive earlier than normal to seek out an alternative spot.
Using a text for business system to send this type of alert is becoming increasingly common. When a message really has to be received, then there’s simply no better alternative than SMS. While email is free, the open rates are invariably dire. SMS reads rates are over 98% and despite there being a cost involved, companies know that their messages are being read.
To see how Text Marketer’s text for business system works, open up a free SMS account. It’s incredibly easy to use and you’ll receive some free text credits for testing. There are no nasty set up costs or minimum order quantities, it’s a simple pay as you go service.
