Topping up your account with text credits.
How do I make payment for text credits?
There are 4 ways:
– Google Wallet accepts all major debit and credit cards (£1 minimum purchase, credits added instantly payment is authorised)
– Credit/Debit card/PayPal Account accepts all major debit and credit cards processed via PayPal (no PayPal account required) or you can pay with your PayPal account (£1 minimum purchase, credits added instantly payment is authorised)
– By invoice – you can create a one-off invoice in your account to pay by BACS or CHAPS
(£10 plus VAT minimum order, credits added once payment is cleared in our bank)
– Recurring Billing – you can set a level at which your account automatically generates an invoice to top up your credits
To buy credits, simply log into your account and hit the ‘Buy Credits’ button in the top right hand corner.
After payment, how long does it take for the credits to appear in my account?
Using Google Wallet / Card / PayPal payments, once payment has been made and has cleared (see below), credits are automatically and instantly added to your account. Credits remaining can be seen in the top right corner of you account.
For invoice payments, the credits are added once the payment has cleared in our bank account. We conduct banking normally at around 9am each morning and process the payments received up until that time. If you have paid by instant transfer or ‘fastpay’ during the day and need credits added before 9am the next day, please contact us to advise an instant transfer has been made.
I’ve made my payment using Google Checkout and my text credits don’t seem to have appeared in my account yet.
To protect against potential fraudulent purchases, Google will occasionally conduct further checks on your credit or debit card. If payment has not been immediately processed then Google will notify you that they are conducting further checks (your payment will go into “Reviewing” status”.
Credits will be added automatically as soon as payment has been successfully processed and you will be notified by email. The additional checks can take up to 48 hours to complete but normally are done within 6 or so hours.
IMPORTANT: Google will normally contact you by email during the review process to request additional information. The faster you can send this, the quicker they can complete the review and authorise payment.
Please note there is nothing we can do about this process. It is between Google (the payment processor), your bank and yourself. We have no control over it. Should your campaign be urgent and you need credits you can always raise an invoice in your account, pay by CHAPS or Fastpay to our bank and let us know you have done so in which case we can add credits when the bank transfer is complete – we can also cancel the outstanding Google Checkout payment if required.

In the same way as the above, from time to time, payments will not be instantly authorised and a manual review process has to take place. This can only be conducted during UK office hours and it normally takes between 1 and 2 hours.
You will of course be notified by email as soon as the review has taken place and the outcome.
